Do I need to pay to attend?

The course has previously been supported through institutional funding that helped cover core participation costs such as accommodation, catering, and travel support. Check your current invitation for the most up-to-date arrangements.

What will I do during the week?

Students take part in academic workshops, writing and discussion sessions, activities focused on preparing for higher education, and opportunities to experience Durham’s libraries, colleges, and student community.

Will I meet other students?

Yes. One of the most important parts of the course is the chance to meet peers, near-peer mentors, and staff before term begins, helping students feel less alone and more connected.

What support is available?

The programme includes academic and pastoral support, reasonable adjustments where required, and early referral to further support services if needed.
